Is Sundog Electric licensed?
Yes. Sundog Electric is operated by a licensed master electrician and has been in business in Littleton, Colorado since December 2004. Every crew we send out includes a licensed electrician - we don't send apprentices to work alone. Most jobs are staffed by a two-person crew: a licensed electrician working alongside an apprentice.
What areas do you serve?
Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Lone Tree, Lakewood, Englewood, Morrison, Castle Rock, Roxborough, Sterling Ranch, Aurora, Wheat Ridge, and the Denver Metro area.
Do you install whole-house generators?
We install and wire the transfer switch and electrical connection for whole-house Generac standby generators. We don't sell or supply the generator unit itself — if you already have one, or you're buying one separately, we do the electrical installation.
Do you wire for portable generators?
Yes. Either an interlock kit with a power inlet box (you choose circuits manually each time) or a transfer switch subpanel (a fixed set of circuits, automatically covered, no guessing). We can help you decide which fits your situation.
What panel brands do you work with?
Siemens, Span smart panels, Square D, Eaton, and GE.
Do you install smart lighting?
Yes — Lutron RadioRA 3 whole-home lighting control and Lutron Caséta, commissioned by a myLutron-qualified installer.
Do you repair GE Touchplate lighting systems?
Yes. We repair GE Touchplate low-voltage relay systems, including failed solenoids and worn out switches. It's an older lighting control system that very few electricians still work on - we diagnose which part actually failed rather than defaulting to a full rewire.
Do you only do service calls, or new construction too?
Both. About 60% of our work is residential service and repair, 40% is full wiring for custom home construction and major remodels.
How long has Sundog Electric been around?
Founded December 2004 — operating continuously in the Littleton area for over 20 years.
What if my job crosses jurisdictions - like Douglas County and Littleton?
We pull permits and coordinate the inspection separately with each jurisdiction as needed. It's routine for us given how many of our jobs span multiple cities and counties across the Denver metro area.
Do you wire multi-family or multiplex buildings for builders?
Yes. We wire multi-family new construction across the Denver metro area, from smaller multiplex buildings to larger condo developments. We handle the full site's electrical work, from individual unit panels through common areas, and coordinate inspections across every building as the project moves forward.
